How recurring commissions build up
Where these numbers come from
- Amazon commission rates: Amazon Associates Standard Commission Income rates, US program.
- Click rate (3–10% of page views) and Amazon conversion rate (6–10% for review content): AffiliateX.
- Conversion rate for other online stores and lead offers (1–3%): Shopify.
- Conversion rate for software (0.5–2% from click to customer): Tapfiliate.
- Earnings by experience: Authority Hacker's survey of 2,270 affiliate marketers.
These are rough benchmarks, and real rates vary a lot by niche, content type and audience. Commission terms change, so check each program's current terms before you rely on them. Recurring estimates assume customers stay subscribed for the whole commission period.
